Mi Taco Tu Taco began with a love story. It all started when a German soldier met a Mexican-American girl in El Paso, Texas. They fell in love, started a life together, had four children, and eventually settled in his hometown of Kiel, Germany. It was there, in 2008, that Mi Taco Tu Taco first opened its doors as a small Mexican restaurant—bringing the bold, comforting flavors of Mexico to the heart of northern Europe.

What began as a way to share a taste of home quickly turned into a beloved neighborhood spot known for its warm hospitality and handmade food. Our flour tortillas—soft, fresh, and made without preservatives—became a local favorite.

Today, Mi Taco Tu Taco is based in Texas, where the spirit of what we built in Germany lives on. We're now focusing on what we do best: handmade flour tortillas crafted with simple, honest ingredients and a whole lot of heart.

Why the name Mi Taco Tu Taco?
It was our daughter Melissa’s idea. Because food is meant to be shared. From my taco to your taco, we hope our tortillas bring a sense of comfort, connection, and joy to your table—wherever you call home.
